why do wheel chairs need parking spots?
I see all these parking spots outside of stores like wal mart in parking lots that are only for wheel chairs and i always wonder, why does a Wheel Chair need to park? I mean its not like the guy in it can jsut park it and get out so why do they even have them?
I'll go ahead here and assume you are joking, since NO ONE on earth could be that stupid.
But in case you're NOT joking, those spaces are for cars CARRYING wheel chairs AND those using them. They are Extra Wide so the handicapped can easily get out of their car and into the chair.
Those spaces are also for people with lesser degrees of disabilities, such as heart conditions, or those with mobility problems.
People like myself, who have serious knee problems and cannot walk from a parking lot into, around, and out of a super market without experiencing severe pain, also are entitled to a disabled parking pass.
