Which iPod model is the best?

Well I'm 15 years old and, surprisingly, I don't have an iPod. I'm planning on getting one when I turn 16 in about 4 months. Which would be the best model for me?

Well, if you only want to store music on your iPod, I'd most recommend the iPod classic which is also capable of storing videos and pictures. The iPod classic is capable of holding more songs than any other iPod. At most, you can have 30,000 songs (at an average of four-minutes-long each). Do keep in mind that the iPod classic does contain a hard drive which, if dropped, will most likely break.

Now, if you want the iPod that allows you to do the most in addition to storing a plethora of songs, I'd recommend the iPod touch. Unlike the iPod classic, the iPod touch contains a flash drive which is less likely to break than a hard drive if the device is dropped. Also, the iPod touch is now available in a 64GB model. That would hold a total of 14,000 songs (at four-minutes-long each). Before that capacity was introduced, 32GB (7,000) was the largest capacity available in the iPod touch. Keep in mind that the iPod touch can also store pictures and videos but also has Wi-Fi capabalities which, as long as you're in a Wi-Fi hotspot, you will be able to surf the Internet. Also, there are thousands of apps (some free, some not free) available for the iPod touch and, when watching videos or surfing the Internet, you can switch to widescreen mode. The iPod touch also has the largest display of any iPod at 3.5 inches.

I myself have a 16GB iPod touch. Compared to the iPod classic, the touch is far more expensive but it does do a lot more. Also, there at a few other iPod models available but, if I were you, I'd decide between either the iPod classic and the iPod touch.
