Foam Cushion
What is the name of the cushion that is placed between patients' legs after they had hip replacement surgery?
I have a 13 y/o client with cerebral palsey who has dislocated hips. I am trying to increase the range of motion in his hips. I can not remember the name of the cushion that is shaped like the letter "A" and wedges between the legs of post-op hip replacement patients. It has a strap on each side that wrap around each leg. This foam cushion is intended to be used to prevent patients from dislocating their hip joint after surgery while lying in bed.
I used one after my hip replacement. It was called an "abduction wedge". You can google that term and find many references, pictures, etc.
