Doorway Anti
How to dry the paper beneath a soaked bamboo floor?
We had a leaky pipe in our bathroom last night, and the bamboo floor got utterly soaked. We dried the floor thoroughly with a towel and both the finish and the wood appear fine. Unfortunately, looking at an unfinished spot of floor near the doorway, it looks like the pink anti-squeak paper between the floor and sub-floor is wet a for significant distance away from the leak. How do we dry it, so we won't get mold?
(Thanks for responding DeeDee! Adding detail): The flooring is 5/8" wood, and nailed down.
it's not paper, and it really depends on the amount of moisture.
If pulling the floor up is not an option, a wet/dry vacuum should pull the majority of the moisture off of the floor. A strong blowing fan directly on the area for a day should take care of the rest.
Make sure to take your time and thoroughly vacuum the area to remove as much as possible.
