Back Arms
What exercises are suitable for strengthening back and arms for female in her 60's?
Most advice seems to be for the young and already fit.
Legs and rear end are OK thanks to cycling and walking but have recurring back problems and weak upper arms so would like to tone up these areas that have been neglected in recent years.
Something simple but effective that can be done at home.
Any recommendations for books or DVDs that would help.
I started back to they gym specifically for back problems. For your back problems you need to do is work on your "core" which is a combination of your lower back and your abs (I'm not talking six pack here).....your upper body is primarilly comprised of back and chest----arms are broken into biceps(top) and triceps(back)......your best option is to join a gym as the machines will help you with these large muscle groups in a safe manner. Great that your trying to improve it all....plus weights will help greatly with preserving bone density.
